Mustard is a fast-growing, multi-purpose brassica crop widely used across New Zealand as a bio-fumigant, green manure, and soil-conditioning species. It is highly effective at suppressing soil-borne pests and diseases, improving soil structure, and providing quick canopy cover between cash crops or pastures.
With its rapid establishment, deep taproot, and high biomass production, Mustard is an excellent choice for short-term cover cropping, soil health improvement, or rotational grazing.
